Friday to Sunday

Playtime Casino Hanover, Friday to Sunday

At Playtime Casino Hanover, the casino floor, the Arcade Bar, the bar's plated breakfast and the simulcast theatre all follow separate schedules. Pick a day and hour in the tool below to see what is open, in Eastern time, which is local time in Hanover.

The long run

Thursday morning to Saturday midnight

From Sunday to Thursday, the Playtime Casino Hanover floor runs from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m. On Friday and Saturday, the posted hours are 24 hours. Taken together, the floor opens at 9 a.m. Thursday and has no closing until midnight at the end of Saturday. The Sideroad is built around that long stretch.

For a group driving in from Walkerton or Owen Sound on Friday evening, the hour of arrival does not matter to the floor. It is open when you park, it stays open through the night, and it is still open on Saturday afternoon. Leaving late on Saturday works too, up to midnight. After that, the hours stop being clear.

    Sunday

    Sunday, from 9 a.m.

On Sunday the floor opens at 9 a.m. and runs until 1 a.m., the same as any day from Sunday to Thursday. The uncertainty lies in the night before. Saturday is posted as 24 hours, but nothing confirms the floor stays open on Sunday from midnight to 9 a.m. The Sideroad desk marks those hours as not published.

Before planning that stretch, call the casino at 519-364-7606. Holiday hours are not published either, so the same number applies.

    The bar

    Bar hours and breakfast

The Arcade Bar is on the casino floor. It offers an Arcade menu and pre-made items between 9 a.m. and 1 a.m., 7 days a week. Even on nights when the floor stays open, the bar closes at 1 a.m. It opens again at 9 a.m.

Mornings bring a plated breakfast at the bar from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. MATCH Eatery & Public House and the Buffet are the two restaurants, both reached from the main entrance or a patio entrance. No hours are published for MATCH, and no regular hours for the Buffet.

    Simulcast

The simulcast theatre, day by day

Located in the rear part of the casino, the Hanover Raceway Simulcast Theatre shows live horse races from other tracks for betting. Its hours on Friday and Saturday are 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday have shorter hours, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. On Wednesday and Sunday, the screens stay on but no staff are present.

The minimum bet is $2.00, and wagers in U.S. dollars are not accepted. The cashier's cage at the casino exchanges U.S. currency.
